The sinister holy women known as the Sisters of No Mercy will take on the 50's housewives gone psycho Leave it to Cleavers! The ladies are ready to get rowdy and roll!

Arrive early to have your pick of the best seats, enjoy the concessions and the guitar driven sounds of The Playdead Movement.

TICKETS: $10 online, $15 at the door (cash only).

*Must be 18 years old to enter the Suicide Seat area*
Suicide Seats are trackside seating and are generally about 7 feet away from the track. These seats greatly increase your chance of catching a derby girl in your lap. Sitting this close to the track means that you agree to release the Salt City Derby Girls and the Olympic Oval of any and all liability in case of injury or death.

I am so damn sore today. Skating in the parade in West Jordan was awesome but I am so damn tired. Then we had about an hour at home then we had a house filled with people. My wifes family. Then we ate and ventured up to the U for the REAL Salt Lake Soccer game. What the hell is up with this sport? I coached my daughters for 2 years and I still do not know what the hell all of the rules are. How can a professional sport end in a tie? More so end in 0-0? Not one damn team scored. It was actually almost as boring to watch as baseball.

Oh well the fireworks show after wards was great and the kids had a blast. They walked away with so many free giveaways that they needed a bag to carry it all.

Now that the tryouts are over for the bout we will begin to scrimmage and work extra hard............

Salt City Derby Girls Party

The Derby Girls are throwing a party!

The party is on June 22 (next Thursday) at 7:00 at Kilby Court (741 S.
Kilby Ct (Between 300 w - 400 w).

We will be having four bands playing... Spooky Devilles, Glacial,
Black Hole and The Middle Distance....

We also will be having other activities such as a penalty wheel,
and a raffle. (tickets for $1.)

Very Fun Time

I am now truly tired. I got to the rink at 5am and Longshot, Tuck, and I set up the track. Just in time for FishDawg to show up. It was a ton of fun and Big Buddah had a great time with the ladies. He is a joker and you know he loved it all. Even the knee or skate or whatever to the groin. He had to walk it off for a minute but he was ok. It was great fun and I really hope that all of the press gets us somewhere. I really would like to have a place of our own that we could practice and bout in. The track setup is getting real tedious and taking a ton of tape to do it. Oh well life goes on and we will be there next time. I am glad to have Tuck aboard and I hope that he enjoys it as much and Longshot, Fishdawg, and I do.

Hello everyone. Again it is time that I post an update. Doing well and almost fully recovered from the pride day festivities. It was great to hang out with all of the girls at the X96 booth and hand out fliers and just have a great time. If only FishDawg did not leave me with a group of gay guys to let me spill all of my beer. It was a good time though.

Back to work today and it sucks. Anyone know of a job that doesn't suck? I would like one of those. Oh well.

What is eveyone up to? I know that it has been a while since my last post so here ya all go.

Just finished with the first bout for the Salt City Roller Girls on Monday night. Man am I sore. It is thursday and I am sore as hell still.. I can only imagine what the girls are feeling like right now. I had a blast. I can not wait until the next one.

Everything that could have happened in a Roller Derby Bout did happen. Including, a fight, penalties, me falling on my ass, slipping in water, and you name it it happened. It was so damn loud in there it was a total adreneline rush. As Joe said earlier. Here are some photos of me and the one when I got my skates knocked out from underneath me from behind and ended on my ass.

I had a great time last night. I never knew that I could have such a great time at club Vegas. Thanks to Bobo, Chris, Aaron, and everyone else that was there I had a great time. Hope to do it again soon.

Salt City Derby

I know that some of you may have wondered what the hell is Salt City Derby? Well let me tell ya....

They are a group of girls that participate in flat track roller derby. You may remember roller derby in the 50's or 60's. They have all come and gone and some were around in the 70's that were like pro wrestling where every outcome was decided before the bout started and the fights were even staged. Well I can tell you that the only similarity from all of the other roller derby's and todays roller derby is that they skate on an oval track.

Today the fights are real, the outcome is not predetermined, This is for REAL!!!! And it is all Women. The only men involved are us referees. Thanks to Longshot, Bruce Wayne, Big Daddy (That's me), and Geoff we will rock and roll at the first ever flat track derby bout in SLC. I will keep you all posted as to when that will be. Not sure at this time but I do know that it will be in June. We have an all media bout in May then the public bouts will start in June.

I am Married going on 16 years now to my high school sweethart. We have 2 daughters 12, 13. The 13year old will be 14 in July. Man I am starting to feel old. I am a level 1 ice hockey official, I also am a referee for the Salt City Derby Girls flat track roller derby. Anyone with any advice as to how I can make this live journal look better let me know. I am new here and just need some help.
